Hand Tied Badger Shaving Brush Knots
After years of research, Leonidam internalized the hand tying process for badger shaving brush knots. Our badger knots are now fully hand tied in our workshop, to achieve the best compromise between density, backbone and splay.
The hair is first weighted and roughly combed, then shaped in the fan or bulb shape, tied and finally glued to form a base. After the glue is hardened, the knots are combed again and finally washed and conditioned, ready to be set into the handles.
A badger shaving brush delivers a superior lather experience: the natural hair absorbs water efficiently, lifting the beard and preparing the skin for a close, comfortable shave. Each knot is hand tied individually in our Treviso workshop — no machines, no shortcuts.
